Martinez Georgia Man Killed in a I-20 Tractor Trailer Wreck

A Martinez man was the victim of a fatal wreck on Interstate 20 in McDuffie County on Sunday, September 28.  According to reports, the man’s vehicle became disabled after he struck debris that was falling from a sanitation truck.  After he pulled his vehicle to the shoulder of the road, the driver was struck by a tractor trailer who was traveling eastbound on I-20.

There were no other injuries reported and the Georgia State Patrol Collision Reconstruction team is conducting an investigation into the accident.  According to Tracey Watson of the Georgia Department of Public Safety, charges are pending in the case.
